NOTES OF INTEREST:

Just Crochet/Craft Idea's: It's been a very long time since I have posted anything to my Blog. Due to family and life in general, I got a little detoured. I will try to get time to type up some new entries. I have created a lot of items, gave them away and did not take pictures or type them up. We lost both of our boys this year. Jiggy in March and Stubby in July. We have a new friend her name is MayBee (due to the fact that we weren't quite sure about keeping her). She's 4 years old and full of energy. I make her Kitty Strings with yarn, it was such a hit, I donated some to the local animal shelter. I'll try to put them on the Blog next week. As usual, if you have questions about crafting or crochet, I will answer them under the post where you leave the comment. Thanks for stopping by. Birdie

Party Capelet
By Berta Gilholm

I needed something for a party to chase the chill away from the A/C. This Capelet is the perfect size and just enough open work to not get uncomfortable. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Materials:
Capelet = 6 balls of Coats & Clarks ModaDea Beadnik 90% Acrylic/5% Polyester, 1.76 oz/95m - 103 yd. #4ww, Blue Beat.
Here's the link for the Moda Dea Beadnik   http://www.coatsandclark.com/Products/KnittingCrochet/Yarns/Medium/MODA+DEA+Beadnik.htm
 A good substitute yarn would be, Bernat Sequins or Lion Brand Glitterspun.
Crochet Hooks: For Capelet, US I/9 - 5.5mm, US J/10 - 6mm
Yarn Needle
1 half inch Antique Button
Note: Capelet is worked from the neck down, the first rows 1 through 3 are worked around the chain row, the 4th row is worked side to side, row 5 through row 28 are worked in the round.
