Just Crochet/Craft Idea's: It's been a very long time since I have posted anything to my Blog. Due to family and life in general, I got a little detoured. I will try to get time to type up some new entries. I have created a lot of items, gave them away and did not take pictures or type them up. We lost both of our boys this year. Jiggy in March and Stubby in July. We have a new friend her name is MayBee (due to the fact that we weren't quite sure about keeping her). She's 4 years old and full of energy. I make her Kitty Strings with yarn, it was such a hit, I donated some to the local animal shelter. I'll try to put them on the Blog next week. All your yarn web sites have Free patterns and great yarn buys. So check them out. My favorite finds to date are Red Heart Yarns, Lion Brand and Lilly Sugar & Cream Cotton. Also don't forget the craft stores, like Michael's or Joann's, they also have free patterns in their yarn section and some great books for sale.

Black Cat Pin

Materials:
Any Worsted Weight Black Yarn, I used Red Heart Super Saver. A smidgeon of white and orange yarn for whiskers and eyes.
Hook - size H8/5mm
Yarn Needle
1 Pin Back
Abbreviations: Ch = chain, Sc = single crochet, Hdc = half double crochet, Dc = double crochet, Tr = triple crochet, Slst = slip stitch, Jwslst = join with slip stitch to first stitch of round, Rnd = round.
Instructions: (Head, body and tail made all in one piece)
Make a magic ring,
Body Circle:
Rnd 1: Sc 7 times in ring, jwslst
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, jwslst (14 sc)
Head area:
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in same st, turn,
Rnd 4: Working around head, sc in first sc and hdc, (slst, ch 3, slst) in dc for ear, slst in tr, (slst, ch 3, slst) in dc for ear, sc in next hdc and sc, Do not turn and continue working around body circle,
Slst in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, ch 14 (for tail), turn, slst in second ch from hook, *slst in next 3 ch, slst next 2 ch together, Repeat from * 1 more time, slst in next 2 ch, (Back to Body) sc in last 8 sc around body, FO, weave in ends
Pull up ears to points, with orange sew 2 eyes just above center of head, tie a small length of white under each eye just below center of head and trim and spread apart ply for whiskers, sew pin back to above-center on body.
