NOTES OF INTEREST:

Just Crochet/Craft Idea's: It's been a very long time since I have posted anything to my Blog. Due to family and life in general, I got a little detoured. I will try to get time to type up some new entries. I have created a lot of items, gave them away and did not take pictures or type them up. We lost both of our boys this year. Jiggy in March and Stubby in July. We have a new friend her name is MayBee (due to the fact that we weren't quite sure about keeping her). She's 4 years old and full of energy. I make her Kitty Strings with yarn, it was such a hit, I donated some to the local animal shelter. I'll try to put them on the Blog next week. As usual, if you have questions about crafting or crochet, I will answer them under the post where you leave the comment. Thanks for stopping by. Birdie

A Glance at Things to com...

Kali's Christening Blanket
By Berta Gilholm

She's here:
Allison Marie,
Born , 1/11/2013 at 4:03 pm. She was 9lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long. Mom/Dad and baby are doing great.

There's a Christening Set pattern #90073AD from Lion Brand http://www.lionbrand.com/ , that I made for future Great Grand Baby #6 (Phew!).
I have to brag on this pattern: It's easy to follow, different, pretty quick and I absolutley love it, the designer calls it "Little Boxes". I wanted to make a matching Blanket to go with this set, and so I used the same little box pattern on a few rows at the bottom and top for my blanket, so it would match the hat and sweater. I used some leftover Microfiber type yarn #4 to make mine, but the Babysoft called for in the patterns would be great for the blanket too. Here's the finished Blanket pattern and my Granddaughter  loves it. Check out the hat and sweater pattern at Lionbrand and add my blanket for a full set.
