NOTES OF INTEREST:

Just Crochet/Craft Idea's: It's been a very long time since I have posted anything to my Blog. Due to family and life in general, I got a little detoured. I will try to get time to type up some new entries. I have created a lot of items, gave them away and did not take pictures or type them up. We lost both of our boys this year. Jiggy in March and Stubby in July. We have a new friend her name is MayBee (due to the fact that we weren't quite sure about keeping her). She's 4 years old and full of energy. I make her Kitty Strings with yarn, it was such a hit, I donated some to the local animal shelter. I'll try to put them on the Blog next week. As usual, if you have questions about crafting or crochet, I will answer them under the post where you leave the comment. Thanks for stopping by. Birdie

Cowl Boucle (Green with Envy)

Cowl (Green with Envy)
By Berta Gilholm

Materials:
JoAnn Sensations, Green/Cream Rainbow Boucle #4 WW, 88% acrylic/12% nylon (takes no more than 4 oz.)  This was a leftovers project you can substitute any #4 Boucle you want for this project, but I suggest you use a variegated boucle for the same look.
Crochet Hook size - US L/8mm
Yarn Needle

Notes: Ch 3 counts as dc on every dc row
This is a super easy and quick project. It is crocheted in an approximate 15” x 28” rectangle, the ends are then whip stitched together. The Bow around the cowl is optional, but cute and made with a double yarn chain.

Stitch Abbreviation: Ch = chain, Sc = single crochet, Dc = double crochet.

Instructions:
Ch 36
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn (35 sc)
Row 2: Ch 3, Dc in next sc and in each sc across, turn (35 dc)
Row 3: Ch 3, Dc between each dc across, (dc in space of ch 3 at end of row), turn,
You should equal 35 dc on every row.
Row 4 through Row 38: Repeat Row 3.
Row 39: Ch 1, Sc in every dc and top of ch 3 at end of row, Fasten off leaving a 2 ½ “ tail for sewing.
Fold rectangle end to end and whip stitch across through the sc rows. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Optional Bow Chain: I took a 10 foot piece of the darker green area of the boucle, doubled it up  and chained 36 times, end off , trim ends and tie in a bow around/through Cowl across the sc rows.

  1. I've been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It's pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
