NOTES OF INTEREST:

Just Crochet/Craft Idea's: It's been a very long time since I have posted anything to my Blog. Due to family and life in general, I got a little detoured. I will try to get time to type up some new entries. I have created a lot of items, gave them away and did not take pictures or type them up. We lost both of our boys this year. Jiggy in March and Stubby in July. We have a new friend her name is MayBee (due to the fact that we weren't quite sure about keeping her). She's 4 years old and full of energy. I make her Kitty Strings with yarn, it was such a hit, I donated some to the local animal shelter. I'll try to put them on the Blog next week. As usual, if you have questions about crafting or crochet, I will answer them under the post where you leave the comment. Thanks for stopping by. Birdie

Fabulous Felted Rug

This was the most beautiful little bath rug I ever made. I always seem to give them away. This one went to my daughter in Wisconsin, she loved it and so did Jiggy. I used a pattern from www.lionbrand.com called fabulous Felted Rug. It's a free download and well worth the time. I used left over Lion Brand 100% fisherman's yarn (you can use any 100% wool that will felt) held together with fun fur. Made with a large hook, it's fast and so fluffy on the feet. Also, try taking any of the basic rug patterns use felting wool with the fun fur held together instead of the yarn called for in the pattern, use 2 sizes larger hook (for instance - if a US I (use a US K)) this usually adds about 4 inches in width and length to the stitches, then when you felt it, you have a nice size rug for the bath.
